Responsibilities:
Collect correct payment from guests and ensure that the guest check and method of payment are accurate to safeguard both the client and the business from mistakes in transactions Actively engage in pre-shift and department meetings to get a thorough knowledge of all goods, services, and facility operations Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to answer client queries and provide recommendations Perform all restocking and cleaning activities as directed, including opening and closing duties Welcome customers upon arrival and promptly seat them, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve meals, and meet any special requirements or requests
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in food service is preferred Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills About Company Located on the coastline of Hilo Bay, the Grand Naniloa Hilo, a DoubleTree by Hilton is 30 mi from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
